Tyre Waste
Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) For Waste Tyre – The Ministry of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change has introduced a new amendment called the Hazardous and Other Wastes (Management and Transboundary Movement) Amendment Rules, 2022 (hereinafter referred to as “Amendment Rules”) for “Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) for Waste Tyre” which came into effect from July 21, 2022. Schedule IX has been inserted vide the Amendment Rules which lays down the provisions relating to the utilization and management of waste tyres by producers, recyclers, and retreaders (hereinafter referred to as entities).
ERP is referred to as the responsibility imposed on producers of tyres to ensure environmental and sound management of waste tyre to protect the health and environment against any adverse effects which may result from such waste tyre.
Recycler is referred to as any person who is engaged in the process of converting waste tyre into the following end products, in an environmentally sound manner:-
- Reclaimed rubber.
- Crumb rubber.
- Crumb rubber modified bitumen.
- Recovered carbon black, which is usable as raw material for the manufacture of new tyre.
- Pyrolysis oil or Char, which is used only as a fuel and not as raw material for the manufacture of new tyre.
Our tire waste collection services are tailored to address the environmental challenges posed by discarded tires. Employing a systematic and efficient approach, our dedicated teams utilize specialized equipment and vehicles to collect tires from various sources. The emphasis is not just on quantity but on responsible collection methods, ensuring the safe and eco-friendly transportation of tire waste to our processing facilities.
Throughout the collection process, we prioritize safety, compliance with environmental regulations, and the reduction of carbon footprint. By adopting innovative methods, we guarantee that tire waste is gathered and transported in a manner that minimizes environmental impact. Our tire waste collection services play a pivotal role in mitigating the adverse effects of tire disposal while contributing to the creation of a more sustainable and circular economy. Partner with us to make a positive impact on waste management and environmental conservation, as we work together to address the challenges associated with tire waste responsibly.
In our tyre waste recycling process, discarded tires undergo a comprehensive transformation, extracting valuable components that contribute to the creation of raw materials. One of the primary outputs is rubber particles, obtained through advanced shredding and grinding techniques. These rubber particles serve as a versatile raw material, finding application in various industries, from the production of asphalt to the manufacturing of sports surfaces.
Apart from rubber, our process meticulously separates steel wires embedded in the tires. This recovered steel is a valuable resource that undergoes further processing and recycling, reducing the need for virgin steel production and minimizing environmental impact. Additionally, textile fibers extracted during the process are repurposed, finding application in various products, such as insulation materials and construction materials. By embracing our tyre waste recycling services, you actively contribute to the utilization of these valuable components, supporting a sustainable and circular approach to raw material production. Join us in turning tyre waste into a resourceful solution that benefits both industry and the environment.
